Semiotics Collages
Semiotics / Semantics
Visual Language (Fall 2022)
This project focused on expressing the semiotics of either "hands" or "feet". I chose to focus on three artists whom use their hands to create art for conservation efforts.
My name is Dee and I'm a Graphical Designer.
Many people have difficulty expressing themselves artistically.
Let me be the bridge between You and the World.

- you'll never reach it.”

It all started with kicking and screaming. I was born at a very young age in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After half a lifetime in the military I decided to change things up and get artsy.
I am a 2ndy-3rd year college student embarking on a Graphic Design journey. Starting in 2019, I joined the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) San Antonio, TX, for my formal education. Growing up I always admired my Aunt and Grandfather for their artistic talents and began drawing my own comics in High School. After my Army Nursing career was cut short I switched concentrations to rely on my art abilities.
With over 2 years of courses at UIW under my belt, I've been exposed to just about everything Apple & Adobe make; and at this point I almost know what I'm doing.

For Motion & Storytelling we explored our world with a "temporal experience." For my project I took a day trip to Lockhart, Tx and had the famous Black's Barbecue.
In Graphic Design 1 we created a labeling system for a ficticious beverage company. My project focused on non-alcoholic mixers stylized as the Ships of Columbus.
